Description
The current contract supplying the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWAST) with an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system is due to end mid-2027. A procurement exercise is therefore being planned.
SWAST are now engaging the market seeking information, for example to help determine requirements (including potential budget needs) and procurement strategy, whilst understanding current market capacity.

Engagement process description
Suppliers are now invited to request an information pack from procurement@swast.nhs.uk and then voluntarily complete and return your relevant information.
Supplier Information is to be submitted by midday Friday 17 October 2025.
As part of pre-market engagement, SWAST may invite further clarification, including potentially accommodating some sample system demonstrations. Where appropriate, invitations are likely to be sent out to suppliers to carry out demonstrations between the period of 4th - 13th November 2025.
Other Ambulance Trusts may become involved in this market engagement exercise, for example SWAST sharing and them reviewing information received and attending any demonstrations alongside SWAST to support their own requirements.
