Description
This contract opportunity relates to supplying Bedford Borough Council (the Client) with a comprehensive range of arboricultural services.
Typically, this will be for trees associated with the Council's Clean, Safe and Green Services which is responsible for managing trees in the Borough's highways, parks and amenity open spaces, equating to approximately 30,000 trees.

Framework operation description
It is the Council's intention to award at a maximum 5 contracts per Lot to the most suitable suppliers in the market and to appoint them onto a Framework Agreement, of which we will call off services via either Direct Award or Mini Competitions. Bidders may bid for any number and all Lots and may be awarded a place on any and all Lots. Should you bid for multiple lots please ensure that you complete all parts of the submission requirements for each Lot.
To be considered for the framework bidders must achieve a minimum score of 65%
The 5 highest scoring bidders will be appointed to their respective Lot. If there are fewer than 5 suppliers that submit a bid, then all suppliers that meet the minimum score will be appointed to the framework Lot.
The Framework Agreement will comprise of Three separate Lots:
Lot 1: Emergency (out of normal working hours) service
Lot 2: Tree Maintenance Service
Lot 3: Tree Planting and establishment service

Suppliers will be ranked on each lot based on their final bid score from this tender exercise. In the event of a direct award, we will offer to the highest scoring supplier in the first instance.
