Each shop is brought to life by dedicated volunteers, many dressed in period costume, who demonstrate traditional skills and engage with guests. Highlights include the sweet shop, where visitors can purchase classic treats like bonbons and pear drops weighed out the old-fashioned way, and the grocer's shop, which showcases produce grown in the museum's Victorian walled garden.
