Description
Lancashire County Council is seeking tenders for the provision of residual waste recovery services in East Lancashire.
The requirements have been split into four lots covering the four East Lancashire district areas of Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, and Rossendale.
The services will comprise the acceptance, weighing and recovery of residual waste arising from each district area and delivered to a provider's facility by the relevant Waste Collection Authority for the area, Lancashire County Council, and/or their respective transport contractor(s).

Description of possible extension:
The initial term is two (2) years from the service commencement date and the Council may, in its absolute discretion, extend the term by a further period or periods of twelve (12) months up to a maximum of twenty-four (24) months. At either the end of the initial term or extended/maximum term, there may be a requirement for the services to continue, in this instance the services may be re-procured.
Options
The right to additional purchases while the contract is valid.
The initial term from the service commencement date will be two (2) years with the option to extend by a further period or periods of twelve (12) months up to a maximum of twenty four (24) months. The total maximum Contract duration from the service commencement date being four (4) years.

The acceptance, weighing and recovery of approximately 24,000 tonnes per annum or residual waste arising in the Burnley district.
