Perth and Kinross Council are exploring the potential opportunity to provide a specialised learning disability/autism social care and housing support service to those identified as requiring support within the Crieff area of Perth and Kinross. The project would seek to maximise a person’s independent living skills, develop their confidence and ability to become active citizens in their community and support them to fulfil their own aspirations and outcomes. The Provider would provide a care and housing support service specialising in social and emotional support and direct practical assistance to enable the people to live as independently as possible in their own home and to maximise quality of life. Services would be planned and operated in a flexible, adaptable way to cope with individual’s changing needs and will include a sleepover service as needed. Individuals would be encouraged to participate in a range of community activities, including meaningful day-time activities which will be an integrated part of the service. The service will be provided within the individual’s own home and elsewhere in the community. This would equal between 150-300 hours support a week including a sleepover each night.
