Description

The Met Office wishes to commission a Single Supplier Framework using the Open Procedure for up to a maximum of four years with the value up to £5,000,000 (excl. VAT).

The Met Office is seeking to contract with a single organisation or consortium group to help co-develop and co-deliver a foundational Operational Meteorology training programme through this single supplier framework. The selected supplier will have the flexibility to subcontract elements of the programme as necessary to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in delivery. The selected organisation will collaborate on course design and ongoing delivery, ensuring alignment with Met Office standards and requirements.

This Agreement aims to create an innovative, flexible, and inclusive learning and development programme that prepares meteorologists for future operational needs by building essential skills and meeting business and stakeholder expectations.

Lot Lot 1 (was 1). Co-design and co-development of the programme curriculum

Description

The supplier is required to co-design with the Met Office a comprehensive, modern and dynamic curriculum training programme for the Foundation Operational Meteorology Programme (FOMP)

Lot Lot 2. Co-delivery of the programme curriculum

Description

The successful supplier will co-deliver the training programme co-designed in Lot 1 with the Met Office over future years.

Framework operation description

Price Evaluation (25%)

Bidders have been provided with a Fictitious Scenario for FOMP Tender. The pricing evaluation for the fictitious scenario will count for 20% of the price evaluation.

Bidders are also asked to provide day rates for four different grades of staffing. Day rates are to be based on 7.5 hours/day and must include all overheads and fees. The day rates will be capped rates for the Framework (Subject to the provisions of the terms and conditions). The four grades of staffing day rates will be added together to make a total and this total will be calculated relationally against the lowest total price then weighted.
