Description

Stronger Shores is a project part of the Environment Agency's flood and coastal resilience innovation programme (FCRIP), and aims to

Monitor and better understand the composition of existing coastal habitats (specifically seagrass meadows, kelp beds and native oyster reefs) along the Northeast coast

Improve understanding about the ways in which these coastal habitats can be restored

Identify and quantify ecosystem services these habitats provide. 

This contract is for the creation and management of the Stronger Shores toolkit and associated works as detailed in the brief document, in addition to the creation and collation of content from Stronger Shores outputs. These will include collected data, lessons learnt, and academic reports.

This toolkit will be public facing but will be intended for coastal managers, including natural capital/ ecosystems services data, and guidance on habitat protection and restoration, with the toolkit as the main project output.
