Section six. Complementary information

six.3) Additional information

The call off contract was awarded via G-Cloud 14 on 03/02/2025. EA intend to modify the call off by increasing the contract value from £800,000 to £1,200,000. This modification for additional value meets the conditions of Reg 72(1)(b):. This is for additional services that have become necessary and were unforeseen when initially procuring the contract.. Besides the time needed to manage a new procurement, a new supplier would require time to onboard, understand the complex landscape, and build relationships—delaying progress and potentially leading to missteps or rework. Valuable contextual knowledge and insights gained through prior engagement would be lost, disrupting the flow of work and undermining the efficiencies already achieved. In a programme of this scale and complexity, such disruption could significantly impact timelines, stakeholder confidence, and the overall success of the project. . A new procurement for these services would cause delay, incur further costs and resource implications to manage such a procurement, and there would be a delay to the overall project which will be of significant inconvenience to EA.. The value of the proposed modification (i.e. £400k) does not exceed 50% of the original contract value which is £800k..

six.4) Procedures for review

six.4.1) Review body

The UK does not have any special review body with responsibility for appeal/mediation procedures in public procurement competitions.
