Description
Great Places Housing Group is responsible for over 27,000 homes and properties across the North West and South Yorkshire.
This contract is for the planned preventative maintenance and responsive repair of passenger lifts and domestic stair lifts across a diverse property portfolio, including residential blocks, sheltered housing, offices, and community facilities.
For passenger lifts, platform lifts, step lifts, through-floor lifts, and stair lifts installed within the Employer's Properties, the awarded Contractor will complete to best industry practice:
(1) Lift Servicing
(2) Reactive maintenance / responsive repairs
(3) 24/7/365 entrapment response.
The contract will cover properties located in Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, and South Yorkshire.
This covered procurement is being conducted in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023, using the open procedure.
Tenders will be submitted via the e-tendering portal, ProContract.

- £1,350,000 excluding VAT
- £1,620,000 including VAT

Options
The right to additional purchases while the contract is valid.
GPHG may exercise the following options while the contract is valid:
a) Successful suppliers may be invited to quote for installation works.
b) Suppliers may deliver additional services/works or location that are in keeping with the nature of the contract for presently unknown variables, such as:
> to support other departments within Great Places
> to help to meet carbon net zero objectives
> supporting any incoming or new regulatory and legislative changes
> in cases of urgency
> supply chain delays
> in cases of an alternative contract failure or termination
> in cases of GPHG staff absence or illness
c) in the event GPHG acquires additional stock, e.g. through merger, contract or other acquisition, then GPHG reserves the right to extend the contract by a further period of 1 year and up to 50% value.
d) All bids are to remain valid for a period of 6 months.

Technical ability conditions of participation

In summary this includes:
- must be able to work on all the systems of lifts detailed in the associated tender documents.
- ability to attend the four Great Places regions within 60 minutes of notification.
- All lift engineers must hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Lift Maintenance or Lift Engineering
- Lift engineers must have completed LEIA-accredited courses, such as EOR 202 (Basic Lift Safety).
- Employees responsible for issuing test certificates must hold NVQ Level 4 Test Engineers or equivalent.
- All operatives shall have received appropriate health and safety training and passed an approved site safety passport scheme such as the CSCS scheme.
- evidence ISO 9001 certification.
- evidence CHAS membership.
- confirm that they are an LEIA member.

Payment terms
Invoices will be validated against orders completed in Great Places Contractor Portal. It is a mandatory requirement to use the GPHG Contractor Portal. All invoices must be sent to invoices@greatplaces.org.uk quoting a valid purchase order number.
Subject to the Employer's right to withhold or dispute any amount, the Employer will pay the Contractor within 30 calendar days from receipt of an undisputed invoice.
