Individual placement and support (IPS) is an evidence-based model of supported employment. It has been rigorously trialled and has consistently outperformed all other tested forms of support for job seekers with severe and enduring mental health problems. The implementation of IPS has been part of the NHS Long Term Plan and preceding strategies for national mental health improvement for over 9 years and is a fundamental part of the ongoing transformation of community mental health (CMH) services.

This Direct Award is for a 12 month continuation of IPS services across BSW, whilst a competitive procurement (to include expansion in to Primary Care) is undertaken in 2025/26.

Individual placement and support (IPS) is an evidence-based model of supported employment. It has been rigorously trialled and has consistently outperformed all other tested forms of support for job seekers with severe and enduring mental health problems. The implementation of IPS has been part of the NHS Long Term Plan and preceding strategies for national mental health improvement for over 9 years and is a fundamental part of the ongoing transformation of community mental health (CMH) services.

The contract is for 12 months commencing the 1st April 25 to the 31st March 26 with an anticipated contract value of £710,995.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and The Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally awarded using direct award process C.
