Description
North Northamptonshire Council conducted a procurement exercise (UK4 Tender Notice: 2025/S 000-037570) to commission a range of drug and alcohol services to support individuals across North Northamptonshire.
The framework is central to supporting delivery of the Government's national drug strategy and the Council's public health duties and is designed to deliver interventions across prevention, treatment, recovery, and harm reduction, ensuring compliance with national drug strategy objectives and local public health priorities.
• Lot 1 - Community Drug & Alcohol Services: providing treatment, recovery, and harm reduction services for adults with drug and/or alcohol dependencies.
• Lot 2 - Young People's Drug & Alcohol Services: delivering prevention, early intervention, and targeted support for children and young people under 25.
The Council proposes to enter into one (1) Contract for an initial period of 60 months with the preferred Potential Supplier for Lot 1: Specialist Alcohol & Drug Services (Adults) and Lot 2: Young People's (11-25) Drug & Alcohol Support, Intervention & Wellbeing Service with an option to extend for 24+24 months, making 108 months in total.
The contract for this project will be awarded via the Open Process, subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.

Specialist Alcohol and Drug Services for Adults in North Northamptonshire.£3,310,805 per year to be paid from Core Public Health Grant, of which:- £50k per year will be allocated for workforce development training.- £90k per year will be allocated for residential rehabilitation.Furthermore, the lot will receive supplementary funding of:- Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner Contribution: £120,000* per year- DATRIG: £1,302,972* per year.Total: £4,733,777 per year.* Figures are illustrative and will change with grant contributions throughout the life of the contract, and the DATRIG funding will be allocated on service need/priorities.
