Scope
Description
The Dock gates at The Port of Workington, are constructed using wooden timbers, that are required for ensuring watertight integrity. Carrying out these essential works will maintain alignment with the wider strategic plan of utilising the Port as a tool for economic growth within Cumberland.
A full structural survey (procured separately) of the Port of Workington Dock Gates, will commission a report detailing recommended upgrades and refurbishments, alongside a formal long term maintenance plan for the gates on completion of the recommended remedial works.
Upgrades and refurbishment required to ensure the Port of Workington Dock Gates, remain fit for use, ensuring the Port Of Workington meets its requirements under the Port Marine Safety Code (PMSC) and statutory requirement under the Workington Harbour Act 1840 (and all subsequent revisions and amendments).
The project is currently awaiting confirmation of funding and award of contract will depend on funding, The council reserves the right to not award the contract if funding is not approved.
