The LEIA programme is commissioning an eight-year impact evaluation to assess its achievements, effectiveness to date, and measure its overall contribution to the clean energy sector.
The twin objectives of the eight-year impact evaluation are to:
1. Assess the impact of the LEIA programme both in terms of its direct outcomes and impact of the programme, achievements to date and understand its broader influence on the clean energy sector within its target geographies in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
2. Inform the future direction of the LEIA programme by generating robust evidence on what has worked, why, and under what conditions. This will be achieved through shared learnings and deepened understanding of how the clean energy sector is evolving. This will help guide strategic decisions, ensure continued relevance, and support potential scale-up.
