Scope

Description

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD) is procuring a Contract for the Design, Manufacture, and Installation of Signage for Urban Parks across the borough. This project supports the Council's commitment to enhancing public spaces and improving wayfinding, interpretation, and branding across 24 urban parks.

This five-year programme will deliver high-quality, vandal-resistant signage that reflects the borough's identity and engages local communities. The successful contractor(s) will be responsible for both graphic design panels and metal signage, with the opportunity to secure one or both contracts.

The scope includes:

• Map Panels (full-colour, graphic design)

• Heritage and Biodiversity Lecterns

• Site Badging and Entrance Signs

• Waymarking and Public Warning Signs

The signage must be:

• Durable and vandal-resistant

• Weatherproof and easy to maintain

• Clear, engaging, and accessible

• Consistent with a new urban parks branding palette and silhouette logo

The procurement includes a market engagement. The Council invites suitably qualified service providers to attend an in-person market engagement event where it will present the expectations of the provision and engage with current and potential suppliers.

This exercise is not part of any pre-qualification or selection process. It is intended as a communication and information-gathering exercise to help potential providers understand the Council's intentions and begin preparing for the competitive tendering process.

The Council is not liable for any costs incurred by parties participating in this exercise or any subsequent procurement.
