Description
Queen's University Belfast require a contract for the supply, delivery, installation and ongoing maintenance of a universal horizontal machining center for the machining and profiling of metal bar and extrusions to allow 5 axis machining of complex aerospace parts in fewer setups.

Description of risks to contract performance
It is known that there may be potential development to the equipment and it's application which may result in additional consumables or development, which cannot be adequately quantified or estimated at this time.
Whilst it is not possible to understand at the point of writing the specification what the additional consumables or software developments or integration might be, what impact this may have on the performance of the contract or what the level of impact may be; it is recognised that this may potentially happen in future and as such may lead to a modification of the contract to facilitate these risks arising.
The equipment is due to be sited in a new building currently estimated to be completed March 2026 . Potential unforeseen construction delays or unknown issues with the construction may require this contract to be modified
