Description

The Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk intends to form a Framework Agreement for routine and emergency repairs to the Hunstanton coastal defences located in West Norfolk. This framework will consist of up to 4 contractors.

Throughout the duration of the framework, the scope of repairs required are likely to include the following:

•Concrete patch repairs to the seawall, promenade, wave-return wall, slipways and beach access steps.

•Replacement of concrete blockwork units to a section of blockwork seawall.

•Asphalt repairs to sections of asphalt surfaced promenade.

•Mortar joint replacement to a section of blockwork seawall.

•Joint sealant replacement to the seawall, promenade, wave-return wall and slipways.

•Health and safety works to concrete groynes and timber groynes.

Framework operation description

The Council will issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to Contractors on the Framework detailing the scope of works required. It will be expected that Contractors will be able to respond to this and provide their quotations within 10 working days. The evaluation criteria will vary for each project.
