Scope
Description
MAG Airport Limited intends to tender a Group-wide contract for the hire and purchase of plant and equipment to support operations across its three airports: Manchester, East Midlands, and London Stansted.
As part of this procurement, MAG is also exploring the potential to expand the scope to include consumables, tools, and parts. This preliminary market engagement aims to assess both the level of market interest and supplier capability, helping to shape and inform the final procurement strategy.
The current strategy of this Procurement process is to award a group-wide contract to a singular bidder, responsible for the provision of both the hire and purchase of plant and equipment, as well as consumables.

Engagement process description
MAG Airport is undertaking preliminary market engagement to gain refreshed insights into current market capabilities and interest. Previous tender exercises have focused solely on the provision of equipment and plant hire. As we consider the potential inclusion of consumables within the scope, we are seeking to understand whether this would be a viable strategic direction, and to assess whether there is sufficient capacity and capability within the market to meet our overall requirements.
To support this, MAG is inviting up to six organisations to participate in 30 minute initial discussions via Microsoft Teams. These sessions will provide an opportunity for mutual introductions and allow MAG to share its current thinking while gaining valuable market input to help shape any future procurement activity.
Meetings will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis and will take place over the next two weeks. If your organisation is interested in participating, please contact Dan Garnett at dan.garnett@magairports.com. Subject to availability, a meeting will be scheduled accordingly.
