Scope

Description

EPEC is an evidence-based, peer-led parenting programme designed to support families, especially those from a disadvantaged or socially excluded background in improving parenting skills and child outcomes. These include:

Parenting Outcomes

Boosts confidence and skills in parenting

Improves understanding of child behaviour

Enhances communication between parents and children

Reduces stress and isolation among parents

Child Outcomes

Fewer behavioural problems

Better emotional regulation

Improved school readiness, especially in younger children

Community Outcomes

Builds peer support networks

Develops local parent leaders

Increases engagement with community services
