Description
The A494 River Dee Bridge provides a vital connection for cross border traffic between north Wales, the north-west of England and beyond, connecting people, communities and businesses. The bridge is in poor structural condition and needs replacing.
This Tender Notice signifies the start of the procurement exercise to appoint a contractor to replace the A494 River Dee Bridge as part of the Welsh Government's Major Asset Renewal Programme.

Competitive flexible procedure description
The procurement process will follow a two stage process:
Stage 1: Conditions of Participation stage consisting of the Common Assessment Standard (CAS) question set along with supplementary project specific questions. The five (5) highest scoring compliant responses with be shortlisted for Stage 2.
Stage 2: Tender Stage. The five (5) shortlisted companies from the Conditions of Participation Stage (Stage 1) will be invited to the submit their tender. This will consist of both technical and commercial submissions.
