Scope
Description
CCBC aims to promote the importance of air quality through an engaging and interactive performance which investigates the causes and concerns of poor air quality and promotes safe active travel to primary schools. It is hoped that the production offers pupils practical advice and information about how they can make a positive impact on their local environment by improving air quality as well as making a positive impact on their health and encourage a change in culture for future generations.
The performance will need to be inclusive of integrated workshops and teaching materials ensuring pupils have greater knowledge of the problem and a practical set of behaviors they can adopt to help improve the situation as well as motivating them to act. The intention is to work with a third-party provider to deliver the programme for up to 40 primary school settings dependent on uptake.
The theatre production will need to include:
A comprehensive booking process
Full project management
A multimedia drama production with interactive integrated workshops (with a requirement to be acted in Welsh for Welsh medium primary schools)
A set of teaching materials available online which are integrated into the current National Curriculum to be used within PSHE, citizenship, personal development or tutor time. Resources required to be fully translated for Welsh medium Schools.
