Description

The project objective is to provide soil and rock properties in the vicinity of the existing structures to enable the following work to be carried out by the OPA. The OPA requires an intrusive Ground Investigation to be carried out in support of the design of rock socketed piles for new berthing/mooring dolphins and intermediate fender piles. These are intended to protect the existing structure by reducing the loads from visiting berthing vessels. This shall be accomplished by moving the berthing line outward from the Head Jetty, allowing for future repairs intended to extend the lifespan of existing structure.
