Scope

Description

The Department of Justice, through its executive agency The Northern Ireland Prison Service (NIPS), wishes to establish a contract for the supply and delivery of a range of toiletry and personal hygiene items for:-

a. Distribution within the prison establishments from the NIPS Stores

b. Purchase from the Prisoner's tuckshop at their own expense

The contract will be for a period of five (5) years with no options to extend beyond this period.

Total value (estimated)

  • £2,150,000 excluding VAT
  • £2,580,000 including VAT

  • 17 November 2025 to 16 November 2030
  • 5 years

Options

The right to additional purchases while the contract is valid.

In accordance with points 3.2 and 5.2 of the Specification, the Buyer reserves the right to add and/or remove items from the contract and to add and/or remove locations to meet their operational needs throughout the life of the contract.

No legally binding contract shall arise (and a Supplier shall have no legitimate expectation that a contract will be entered into) until such time as entry into the Contract has been confirmed by the Contracting Authority.
