This is a preliminary market engagement notice. Lewisham Council are looking to appoint a contractor for The Library Consortium Courier Framework Agreement.

The Service:

Lewisham Library Information Service is the lead authority for The Library Consortium (TLC) Courier Services Framework Agreement that enables the sharing of books for millions of library users across 23 authorities within London and beyond the M25 London Orbital.

The Courier Framework Agreement enables member authorities to efficiently transport books and other items both across the consortium and within their own local boundaries.

Contract locations:

The following local authorities are currently utilising the Framework Agreement:

Lewisham, Barking & Dagenham, Brent, Croydon, Ealing, Enfield, Essex County Council, Hackney, Hammersmith & Fulham, Haringey, Harrow, Havering, Hounslow, Kingston upon Thames, Luton Borough Council, Merton, Newham, Redbridge, Surrey County Council, Sutton, Tower Hamlets, Thurrock and Waltham Forest.

Membership is expected to grow as more authorities join the partnership.

Engagement process description

Prospective applicants have the opportunity to meet Lewisham Library and Information Service, internal colleagues from Lewisham Council and TLC member to find out more about the service, procurement process and social value.
