Description

Nottingham City Council Housing Services owns approximately 27,000 rented homes and over 1,000 leasehold properties. This includes approximately 18,000 houses and bungalows, 2,000 high-rise flats and almost 8,000 low-rise flats (including independent living accommodation for older people). The Strategic Council Plan 2023-27 vision is 'that Nottingham will be known as a healthy, aspirational, thriving city, where people feel safe to live and work whatever their age, an exciting, clean and welcoming place to play, study and visit. In order to deliver the outcome 'Living Well in Our Communities' the plan commits to 'Transform the services we provide to vulnerable adults - focusing on prevention and early intervention, providing better outcomes and supporting people to live independently for as long as possible'.

The provision of assistive technologies that enable citizens to live independently in their own homes and reduce the need for more intensive care and health services will be integral to the delivery of this goal.
