Description

Tees Valley Combined Authority (the 'Contacting Authority'), part of the Tees Valley

Combined Authority Group, have awarded a contract for the provision of a Connected and

Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) baggage cargo Tug, and a CAV airside passenger Shuttle with

the following requirements:

a. Vehicle development

o CAV Tug (one of) comprising vehicle and integrated hardware to operate autonomously.

o Associated CAV software required for the CAV Tug to operate autonomously.

o CAV Shuttle (one of) comprising vehicle and integrated hardware to operate

autonomously.

o Associated CAV software required for the CAV Shuttle to operate autonomously.

o Operational control and fleet management software required to task, control and monitor

the CAV Tug and CAV Shuttle.

o Hardware necessary to operate the operational control and fleet management software.

o Vehicle access at a showcasing event in Teesside in Summer 2025 (date TBC)

o Acceptance test plan for both CAV types.

o Vehicle testing and acceptance support

b. Commissioning & assurance

o Commissioning and operational assurance

o Handover

o Training for operators and maintainers for both CAV types.

o Maintenance manuals, support and guidance.

c. Ongoing operational support

o Spares package

o Maintenance package and warranty

o Software licencing
