Description

There is a requirement to replace an outdated in house developed time/pressure test kit which currently runs on obsolete software. The replacement kit would ideally be a commercially available of the shelf item and must meet the standards specified in UN manual of tests and criteria for the Time/pressure test: UN Series 1 / Series 2, Test 1 (c) (i) and 2 (c) (i)) and The HSL flash composition test.

The equipment must also come with software suitable to extrapolate test results in a user friendly manner, be calibratable and easily maintained on a general basis by HSE-SD's hazardous materials team. The equipment will be used to support the HSE Explosives inspectorates with explosive classification for transport, Incident investigations, market surveillance and research and development projects.
