** This notice is an intention to award a contract under the competitive process**
Cervical screening is a national evidence-based programme providing screening for women and people with a cervix aged between 25 and 64 years to help prevent cervical cancer.
Nationally there is a drive to increase access to cervical screening, including through the use of sexual health services. In 2023 a national Integrated sexual health service specification was launched to support cervical screening in that setting. The service is for both opportunistic cervical screening and opportunistic immunisations within existing sexual health service providers.
NHS England - East of England (referred to as the Commissioner) intend to award a contract to:
1. Provide Community Interest Company
for the Provision of Cervical Screening and Opportunistic Section 7a Immunisations in sexual health services across the East of England region (window 2) following a robust Competitive Process.
The contract will be delivered under the NHS Standard Contract (2024/25 Particulars General Conditions and Service Conditions (full lengths)). Services are expected to commence on 20th August 2025 and end 31st March 2028.
Contracts awarded as a result of this process do not commit activity and are zero value. The maximum estimated total contract value available based on total budget available and 100% activity completed, for the full contract duration
The lifetime value of the contracts (including extensions) is £236,120.00.
This is a new service and has been awarded to current Sexual Health providers.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. The standstill period begins on the day after the publication of this notice. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 12pm (midnight) on Friday 8th August 2025. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award a contract under the competitive process of the PSR.
