two.1.4) Short description

The service is a counselling service to support parents after the loss of an unborn baby or very young baby, either through illness or early termination. The service provides counselling from trained staff via a range of methods. The service records the wellbeing of the people who use the service before and after their counselling to demonstrate that the service is helping them. Most bereaved parents or couples have 4 or 5 sessions, but this can be extended if needed.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The contract has now been formally awarded using direct award process C.

The contract was awarded on 11th June 2025, and commenced on 15th July 2025, and will continue until 14th July 2028 with the option to extend for an additional 2 years until 14th July 2030.

The total value of the contract is £340,400
