To provide patients with sight loss access to all practical and emotional support mechanisms following diagnosis of a visual impairment; guiding those with sight loss facing depression, providing clear pathways into mental health, which could include counselling through RNIB, information advice and guidance, advising on various available welfare benefits, onward referral to various community support groups, low vision clinic, falls and sensory teams.

Details of the award decision-makers: The decision to award was made by a MDT consisting of representatives from Commissioning, Finance, Quality Assurance and Contracting.

Declarations of Interest were sought from the members of the MDT prior to consideration of contract award. No declarations of interest were declared.
