Description

This equipment is required to enhance the analytical capability of HSE and enable it to meet the requirements of both the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and external customers. This system would be used for the analysis of very low levels of analytes in complex biological matrices.

The analytes of interest are primarily aliphatic and aromatic amines, analysed in negative chemical ionization after heptafluorobutyric anhydride derivatisation.

For compatibility with existing systems running the same method, we are seeking tenders for a secondhand Agilent GC-MS system. The system must be available from the supplier at the time of tender submission and must remain available until the tender process is complete. This is likely to be a period of up to six weeks. In exceptional circumstances, a higher specification/newer model would be accepted for the same price but substitution of lower specification or older models will render the winning bid invalid.
