This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) to inform potential bidders that the BSO Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS), intends to issue a tender to award a new Contract for Total Bed Management of BHSCT, SEHSCT and SHSCT in Northern Ireland.

Total Bed Management for the BHSCT.

The exact details of the Contract are yet to be decided, however for guidance it is envisaged that the scope of the procurement will include:

⁻ Standard Bed with the option to modify sizing / dismantle where required in some cases, to allow for entry / exiting different facilities (plus Mattress and built-in linen holder)

⁻ Therapy Mattress (including variations of Therapy Mattresses)

⁻ Mental Health Beds (Ligature risks)

⁻ Children’s Beds

⁻ Cots

⁻ Trauma Beds

⁻ Maternity Beds

⁻ Rehab Beds

⁻ Neuro Beds

⁻ Low entry Beds

⁻ Bed Rails etc.

⁻ Bariatric Beds (maybe more Specialised, sit outside contract)

⁻ Tilting functions

⁻ Older Person (Thompson House)

⁻ Birthing Beds

⁻ Drip Stands, lifter Pole, oxygen cylinder holder, linen holder (ST)

⁻ ICU Beds

⁻ Seat Cushions (ST)

(Plus, the addition of: A Clinical advisor role, per Trust, to ensure beds are managed and maintained to meet the contractual requirements).

The Clinical Advisor role will also be included in the scope of the procurement, the role will be site based and will have audit responsibility.

PaLS wish to hold in-person Awareness Sessions the week commencing 20th January at Knockbracken Hall, Belfast Trust, BT8 8BH, for interested Suppliers to come along to showcase their products to the Contract Adjudication Group representatives from across the three Trusts, in response to the outline scope provided. It is anticipated that suppliers attending the Awareness Session will give a short presentation to the Group to further demonstrate product specifications. Information on the content of the presentation will be provided to interested parties in early January. . . As mentioned, the Awareness Sessions will take place week commencing 20th January, dates to be arranged. . . Should you wish to participate please contact Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS) by emailing boucher.sourcing@hscni.net no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday 8th January, to register your interest. All future tender documentation will be made available via the etendersni.gov.uk website and potential bidders should register on this website to ensure they have access to tender documentation when the tender is published.
