The Northern Ireland Precision Biomarkers and Therapeutics Consortium (NIPBT) is an industry-focused partnership of Life and Health Science (LHS) companies and Academia, aligned to NI Health and Economy strategies. By addressing critical commercial gaps, the Consortium's aim is to transform the productivity of each Commercial Partner and the broader LHS sector in NI. NIPBT will deploy the grant funding to collaboratively develop R&D capabilities that industry partners require.Queen’s is leading and hosting this research hub, as such is tasked with procuring and installing a high throughput nano/microflow liquid chromatography system for proteomics applications. The system will be optimized for rapid analysis of proteomics samples via online coupling to an existing mass spectrometry system (quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry with nano/low microflow electrospray system and trapped ion mobility separations). If grant funding is not secured, the market will be notified, and this procurement exercise will be stood down.
