Engagement process description

A general meeting between a Senior Conservation Works Officer at Moors for the Future (MFF) and a supplier at MFF's offices on 25 June 2025 regarding possible sphagnum supply for peatland restoration projects and working with water company partners and other partners. It was confirmed that a framework tender was likely to be published around the beginning of July 2025 for a 6 year open framework with 2 lots: Lot 1 up to 3,000,000 plugs per annum and Lot 2 up to 50,000 plugs per annum to assist and engage SMEs. The supplier indicated that early supply would assist all suppliers in freeing space for production in subsequent years.
