two.1.4) Short description

The Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust ("the Authority") sought to procure and collaborate with a provider that can resource General Practitioners across the SCFT footprint to work closely with the Trust’s UCR teams.

The expectation is to embed the GPs within each UCR team with support broken down in a hybrid model of ‘On site’ face to face working, ‘Virtual’ support and ‘On Call cover to each UCR team base they are allocated to, each with an expectation to be able to do any urgent patient visits at the patient’s place of residence (within Sussex).

This requirement is paramount to the delivery of the pathway to keep acute patients safely out of hospital and at the place they call home.

The Authority intends to award a contract, following a Most Suitable Provider Process, in accordance with The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 (“PSR 2023”).

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust ("the Authority") sought to procure and collaborate with a provider that can resource General Practitioners across the SCFT footprint to work closely with the Trust’s UCR teams.

The approximate value of the contract is estimated to be £1,800,000 with services to be provided between 01/01/2025 - 31/12/2026.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The standstill period begins on the day after the publication of this notice. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 04/12/2024. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR Most Suitabel Provider process.
