Description

*REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY*

The West Mercia Police (the Authority) Fleet Decarbonisation Project aims to achieve a fully electric fleet by 2035. This transition will require the deployment of sufficient charging infrastructure across West Mercia Police sites, supported by strategic partnerships with external companies and organisations.

The objective of this Request for Information (RFI) exercise, is to:

a) Gain insight into the services and goods offered by leading organisations, enabling us to develop a tender process that is both accurate and concise. This will help ensure we secure the best available, future-proof solution within our budgetary constraints.

b) To gain a comprehensive understanding of current technologies, associated support and maintenance provisions, and critical factors such as security and health and safety compliance.

c) We would like to consider the advantages and disadvantages of different options available. The intention of this RFI is to analyse the Authority's route to market for tender the future tender exercise.

Therefore, the Authority is seeking a partner(s) to provide innovative solutions to achieve charging capabilities across the estate as articulated in 2.4 and 2.5 of this RFI that will provide value to the public pursue. The Authority would like to obtain information from the market as to whether these requirements can be delivered by one turnkey solution or via packages of services (lots) from one or more suppliers. Respondents are invited to indicate whether they can deliver all or any one service. Respondents are encouraged to respond for the service(s) that best fit their capabilities. Based on the submitted responses within this RFI, the Authority will take a business decision as to whether the Authority proceeds with a future tender structured on lots or a turnkey solution.

Should your organisation wish to be included in this exercise you are encouraged to register to InTend and West Mercia Police to participate in this RFI exercise.
