PRIOR INFORMATION NOTICE

This is not a call for competition and is not yet a contract opportunity.

The current contracts for Reablement Service (Intermediate Care - Pathway 1) in Somerset expire at the end of August 2025 and we have a commissioning plan underway to have a new contract(s) in place from 01st September 2025.

Over the last year we have been working with Newton Europe to design new approaches and tools to support flow and effectiveness, as well develop a range of reporting that enables providers to both case manage and deliver good outcomes.

This work has been fundamental in developing a new model for this service and we would like to share initial ideas with a view to focussing in on the proposed scope of the re-commissioning activity, the proposed approach to the geography of Somerset and the benefits and challenges of the proposals in the delivery of homecare services in the future.

Market Engagement Event

A Market Engagement event is planned for 13th January 2025, 10:00 - 12:00. However, before confirming this event we would like to hear from providers that might be interested in delivering these services either individually or in partnership with others to let us know if they would be interested in attending.

The event will be an opportunity to inform and shape future options. Somerset Council are keen to hear feedback from a range of providers as part of the wider consultation for this service; it will be a face to face session (venue to be confirmed at a later date).

Organisations that take part will not be advantaged or disadvantaged in any way in any potential future formal procurement. Commercial confidentiality will be respected. This notice does not represent a formal commitment by Somerset Council to undertake a procurement procedure.

Details of proposed event:

• Date: Monday 13th January 2025

• Time: 10:00 to 12:00

• Venue: Face to Face - venue t.b.c.

Expression of interest in attending:

If you would like to attend this event, please let us know by emailing stephen.barker@somerset.gov.uk giving the names and email addresses of those people who would attend (places limited to 2 per organisation).

Dependent on the level of take up for the event, we will then finalise the venue booking and forward final event details to those who have expressed an interest in attending via email.

Please ensure that those attending from your organisation are the most appropriate to feed into the discussions. If you are unable to attend the event, the presentation, notes and associated documentation will be available through the e-tender system https://supplierlive.proactisp2p.com

Please respond by the deadline of 12:00pm on 20th December 2024 if you wish to attend. Thank you.
