With a backlog of patients, the dermatology service requires an external supplier to provide additional capacity to support the Gloucestershire Hospitals in delivering targeted activity to address these patient waiting times.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

This procurement is for additional capacity for Dermatology Insourcing Services to deliver additional capacity to carry out dermatology outpatient minor operations with suitable and detailed clinical reports.

This notice is an intention to award a contract under the PSR competitive process and the total potential value of the contract is £2,400,000.

This is a new service with a new provider. The service will be live from the 7th of August 2025 to 6th August 2026 with the ability to extend by up to 12 months.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The standstill period begins on the day after the publication of this notice. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 2nd July 2025. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award a contract under the competitive process of the PSR.
