It is also a fundamental factor in the partnership between the Councils and Gwent Police, in the prevention and reduction of crime and antisocial behaviour in these two areas.

The CCTV and alarm monitoring service provided by the SRS (working on behalf of Torfaen County Borough Council, Monmouthshire County Council, Blaenau Gwent Council and Newport City Council is crucial in the management of the public open space in this area. It is also a fundamental factor in the partnership between the Councils and Gwent Police, in the prevention and reduction of crime and antisocial behaviour in these two areas.

The proposed contract term is five years, with the opportunity of two further one-year extensions depending on robust evidence of satisfactory performance and market forces at the time of renewal.
