two.1.4) Short description

Hampshire County Council (HCC) has several frameworks for construction & building works available to public sector clients in Hampshire and the surrounding area, and wishes to consult the market to inform future buying strategies. Currently construction activities are categorised under the following suite of frameworks:

Southern Construction Frameworks (generally works above £5m)

Intermediate Construction Frameworks (generally works between £1m & £5m)

Minor Works Framework (generally works under £1m)

HCC Decorations & Repairs Framework

Note: HCC has numerous other frameworks, however for this market engagement only the above frameworks are being considered. Hence, only the contractors who are able to provide the following types of works should complete this form: General Building works £0 - £2m, Building Construction projects £2m+, Electrical works, Mechanical Works, External Doors and Windows, Cladding works, Roofing works, and Decoration and repair works. HCC wishes to engage the market in the most effective and appropriate way possible and is seeking information on how to form a strategy for construction works delivery. This exercise is not connected with any specific procurement opportunity and is an exercise in information gathering to inform HCC's long term framework strategy.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The HCC Framework Management Team (FMT) is conducting this exercise with the construction market in Hampshire & Surrounding region to understand the market in which the suite of Frameworks operates. The primary objective of the exercise is to understand suppliers which service the different values of the projects and to understand their business requirements and developments roles. The data collected from this market engagement will be used to make informed decisions for procurement of the different frameworks to deliver best value to suppliers as well as clients.

The different form sections, namely About the Organisation, Regional Attractiveness for Project Delivery, Organisation's Project Value preference, & Frameworks for the Hampshire region. Outcomes of the survey will be analysed and reported to make an informed decisions for the framework management team regarding procurements of future frameworks. If a supplier is chosen for further communication, as a result of unclear response or further clarity being required, HCC FMT may correspond further to understand more specific requirements in the considered Frameworks.
