The service is for provision of Initial Health Assessment (IHAs) for Looked After Children (LAC), also known as Children in Care (CiC) in Lincolnshire.
This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intended approach notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.
The intention is to award this contract using the most suitable provider process.

two.2.14) Additional information
To provide Initial Health Assessments for Children in the Care of Lincolnshire County Council and those Children in Care placed into Lincolnshire by external authorities.
Provider will ensure that the content of the health assessment conducted by the Paediatrician will include:
• Ascertaining if the child is registered with a local GP
• Ascertain the child is registered with a dentist and record whether a dental check-up has been undertaken within the previous 12 months and record if there are any reported missing, filled or decayed teeth or undergoing orthodontic treatments
• Collating the previous health history and current health status
• Details of the current carer
• A record of the child’s birth history if known
• Birth family health history
• Identifying whether the child is up to date with their immunisation history
• Identifying any allergies
• Recording current medications
• Lifestyle. If appropriate for the age of the child, discuss:
o Smoking status
o Relationships/Sexual health
o Alcohol/substance (misuse)
o Diet
• Conducting a development examination, appropriate to the age of the child.
• Conducting a full physical examination, appropriate to the child’s age. To include:
o Visual acuity
o Hearing
o Teeth
o Head circumference (where appropriate) with centile
o Height and weight with centiles
o Cardiovascular system
o Respiratory system
o Gastrointestinal system
o Nervous system
Provider(s) wishing to express interest and be considered for the Most Suitable Provider process must register on Atamis and submit response via Atamis stating you would like to be considered.
