Lot 2. Global Supply Chain Mapping & Analysis
Description
UK Industrial Fusion Solutions (UKIFS) seeks to appoint a highly capable and experienced supplier to deliver a strategic global supply chain analysis that is essential to the successful commercial delivery of the STEP Prototype Fusion Plant.
This contract (Lot 2 of the procurement) will support UKIFS in identifying, evaluating, and prioritising opportunities across the global supply base for STEP's technology needs. The outcome must be a fully informed, practical, and prioritised view of where and how the STEP programme can extract value and benefit from existing supply chains, and where and how it should stimulate capability development, attract inward investment or foster new industrial partnerships to enable long-term delivery success.
Critically, this is not a desktop research exercise. UKIFS expects the successful supplier to bring deep expertise, value-added insight, and international reach, delivering a level of analysis, judgement and synthesis that would not be achievable through internal capability alone. Key to the success of this contract is the ability to combine supply chain mapping with a strategic understanding of commercial value, delivery risk, policy context, and long-term technical and supply chain capability development.
