NEC generate, establish and sells nutrient mitigation credits to offset nutrient pollution generated by new residential developments. The services covered in this notice relate to the provision of high efficiency nutrient removal package treatment plants (PTP) for the generation, establishment and sale of nutrient mitigation credits. NEC intend to invite suppliers who specialise in the supply of permanent (90 years) Nitrogen and Phosphorous Mitigation specifically secured via septic tank upgrades. NEC will then trade the nutrient offset/saving as ‘credits’ to housebuilders who need to offset the additional nutrients arising from the new houses they intend to build. NEC will only purchase nutrient offset/savings arising from septic tank upgrades located within the catchments effected by Nutrient Neutrality in Norfolk. This opportunity is divided into 2 lots, of 100kg/yr and 450kg/yr Total Phosphorus offset (plus associated Total Nitrogen offset secured through the septic tank u
