This requirement is for the provision, to Stockport Council, of transport for School children and Teachers from multiple Schools to attend swimming sessions at a named swimming baths.

Transport will be required for all schools on each contract attending a named swimming baths.

The Contract will require transport to be provided for approx. 35 weeks within the academic year.

This requirement is for the provision, to Stockport Council, of transport for School children and Teachers from multiple Schools to attend swimming sessions at a named swimming baths.

Transport will be required for all schools on each contract attending a named swimming baths.

The Contract will require transport to be provided for approx. 35

The contracts cover the transportation of School children and Teachers on regular scheduled journeys from school to an allocated venue and return, for swimming sessions.

The service objective is to provide a quality, reliable and efficient service to all users, ensuring equal opportunity principles apply.

The transport and service provided by contractors must be safe, sensitive and reliable. These are critical factors in this requirement and are as follows:

• Safe - the safety of each client under your care is the most important element. It should be evident in every aspect of the service including staff employment, training and processes, and vehicle procurement, maintenance and cleanliness;

• Sensitive - Contractors and their staff should understand the needs of the client groups and treat them appropriately;

• Reliable - vehicles must arrive at the right location and on time, every time.

The majority of journeys take place on weekdays between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00; however, variations may occur.

The contract will run initially for a period of 20 months, with the provision to extend for a further periods of time up to 24 months.
