** This is not a tender exercise by the Education Authority** The Education Authority (EA) would like to invite participation in a Pre-Market Engagement exercise to seek the views of the market for a ‘Smart School Transport’ solution. The purpose of this Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) Exercise is for the Education Authority (EA) to gain an understanding of the latest developments and innovative solutions to enable delivery of safer and more efficient home to school transport in Northern Ireland. This PME exercise will be used to assist EA in gaining a better understanding of the feasibility of the requirements, the most appropriate procurement and operational approach, the capacity of the market to deliver the requirements and an opportunity for the market to highlight any possible risks or issues that may not have previously been considered.As part of the PME exercise, respondents may be invited to a follow-up session to explore and discuss the information provided in their response via MS Teams within an agreed time frame. This session may include providing a demonstration of the proposed Transport solution. EA is also seeking indicative costs to help inform the business case on the commercial aspects for the delivery and implementation of the solution. The PME exercise is not part of a formal procurement process.
