SSE require a software system to enable us to assess and baseline the natural capital of our land assets and networks, the development of this should be underpinned by appropriate ecological expertise. It is essential that the system enables us to track changes in natural capital and ecosystem services.

The system should provide a GIS-based analytics model detailing habitats on the ground for both the baseline and subsequent changes. The analytics model is required to satisfy the requirements of the Biodiversity net gain legislation for baselining the impact SSEN has on its environment
