PSR Competitive Procedure for the Provision of Insourced Dermatology OP Services - HUTH
Contract for the period 01/04/2025 to 31/03/2026 with option to extend for a further 3 months.
Estimated contract value £300,000 for the initial 12 month term (£375,000 inc. 3mth extension option).

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTHT) plan to work in partnership with an Independent Sector Provider to facilitate provision of additional Dermatology outpatient clinics and minor out-patients procedures in support of a focussed backlog clearance programme.

The Provider will supply appropriately qualified and experienced Consultant Dermatologists or experienced GP with Special Interest (GPSI) along with appropriate Healthcare Assistants (HCA) and Registered Nurse (RN) Support as appropriate to support additional Dermatology outpatient activity that is to be delivered, this will include new outpatient clinics and any outpatient minor procedures that are required. This will initially focus on patients that are referred into the service on the Consultant led routine pathway.

HUTHT will identify a cohort of new Dermatology patients who require an outpatient appointment and a minor procedure.

The IS provider will provide face-to-face clinics in HUTHT Dermatology Outpatient facilities. Each clinic will be a 4-hour session and the all-day session would be 8 hours session, with AM and PM clinics. Clinics are expected to be delivered between 8AM to 5 PM only. Start & finish time of the clinics will be agreed with the IS providers as part of the mobilisation meetings prior to the commencement of the work.

The IS provider will source and provide the Dermatology Consultants and HCA and RN for the sessions. The sessions will be arranged initially over the weekends with options to be explored for weekday sessions in the future.
