The Authority is seeking expression of interest to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Main Contractor with proven capability for the purpose of undertaking concrete repairs, roof repairs and ancillary builders works to the Calderwood complex which contains a working multi-storey car park, large retail supermarket and council offices all of which will remain open for the duration of the works.
Calderwood Street car park is a large and well-used multi-storey car park serving the commercial centre of Woolwich. It is located on Monk Street in Woolwich, in close proximity to major vehicle routes. The site is approximate rectangular in shape. It is surrounded on three sides by vehicle route, with a large bus terminal/ turning area located immediately adjacent the site.
The site is located immediately above an occupied commercial unit, with the car parking area serving this and a neighbouring residential tower block.
The form of contract will be an amended form of the JCT Intermediate Building Contract 2016.
