Expressions of Interest are invited for General Medical Practitioner(s) (GPs) to provide Primary Medical Services under a general medical services contract for patients registered with

Drumnadrochit Medical Practice. Drumnadrochit is located in the Scottish Highlands and has a growing population of nearly 2500 patients. The practice is based within modern premises and lies within easy commuting distance to the city of Inverness.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Applications are invited from registered General Medical Practitioners to deliver high quality, patient-centred, primary medical services responsive to the needs to the growing population of nearly 2500 registered patients. Primary Medical Services will be provided under a General Medical Services Contract (GMS) for the patients of Drumnadrochit Medical Practice. The practice is based within modern premises at Drumnadrochit Health Centre, located in the Scottish Highlands and lies within easy commuting distance to the city of Inverness.

NHS Highland wishes to select a new service provider with the capacity and capability to meet the needs of these patients by delivering high quality, patient-centred clinical services in a primary care setting, all in accordance with NHS Highland’s requirements set out in Appendix 1 (“Requirements”). It will be important that Applicants involved in the planning and/or delivery of existing schemes and services can demonstrate that they have sufficient capacity so as not to prejudice delivery of primary medical services under any other contract an Applicant may have with NHS Highland or pre-existing schemes or the ability of NHS Highland itself to deliver services. The successful Applicant will be required to enter into a contract with NHS Highland on the terms of the General Medical Services (“GMS Contract”) the form of which is prescribed by The National Health Service (General Medical Services Contracts) (Scotland) Regulations 2018, as amended, or replaced from time to time. Performance by the successful Applicant under the terms of the GMS Contract will be subject to these Regulations available at www.legislation/gov.uk/ssi/2018/66/contents

On receipt of this we will supply the practice specification and request a business case for submission by Monday 6th January 2025 5 pm, with interviews scheduled in the following week, date to be confirmed.
