Sport Northern Ireland (Sport NI), an Arm’s Length Body of the Department for Communities, requires the creation and management of a Digital Learning Hub. The Contractor must provide software and an accompanying service which designs, builds, and manages a Digital Learning Hub to provide online learning opportunities to the sporting workforce in Northern Ireland. The contract is anticipated to commence upon Contract award with planning and build of the Digital Learning Hub to be completed by 24th March 2023. Sport NI are about to enter into a home country partnership agreement with Sport Scotland to improve connection, collaboration and opportunities to support the wider sporting workforce in both regions. As part of this home country partnership, Sport Scotland will be able to afford Sport Northern Ireland with the opportunity to utilise their digital learning platform, hence negating the need for Sport Northern Ireland to build and develop their own system. This partnership opportunity was not known until after the original tender had gone live and was only given approval to go ahead on 21 December 2022.
