two.1.4) Short description

The AAP provides apprenticeships to 15 Cap Badges across the Army, each Cap Badge runs multiple Standards to enable them to offer a high-quality Apprenticeship Programme for their soldiers.

This Prior Information Notice is to inform of the Department's intention to procure 3 Apprenticeship Standards EPA service contracts for the AAP covering 13 different Standards grouped as shown below.

All Interested parties are to note:

• All the information on Standards below is subject to change and figures indicate current forecast throughflow. They are for illustrative purposes only and are also subject to amendment.

• Where multiple Cap Badges are listed on a single Contract, individual Cap Badges may not deliver all the listed Standards. Full details of which Standards are used by each Cap Badge will be provided in the Tender pack.

• It is intended that contracts will be awarded for 3 years with an option of up to a further 12 months with a subsequent option of up to a further 12 months, (3 years + up to 12 mths + up to 12 mths), a maximum of 5 years.

• EPA elements to be conducted at employer premises or remote where agreed by the Cap Badge and allowable under the Assessment Plan.

• Under current plans, Army anticipates commencing the tendering for the EPAOs to the approximate timings below. A competition for each of these requirements, under the Open Procedure, will be launched with release of the appropriate Contract Notice’s on the Defence Sourcing Portal.

• This PIN is to alert the market to this potential future requirement and is not a formal request for Expressions of Interest (EOI). A Contract Notice and Dynamic PQQ may be issued in due course to request EOIs which shall reference this PIN.
